What is BuildingBasket?
BuildingBasket is a planned grocery and household-essential delivery service designed for apartment communities. Instead of serving a large area from the beginning, BuildingBasket will launch in selected buildings and provide convenient scheduled deliveries directly to residents.
Is BuildingBasket currently accepting orders?
Not yet. Our online ordering service is being prepared for launch. Information about the first opening date will be published on this website when confirmed.
Where will BuildingBasket launch first?
BuildingBasket plans to launch first in Central Park, Sandyford, Dublin 18. After establishing a reliable service there, we plan to expand gradually to other nearby apartment developments.
Which apartment buildings will be covered?
Coverage will be introduced one building or apartment development at a time. A list of available buildings will be published before ordering opens. If your building is not available initially, you will be able to register your interest for future expansion.
How will BuildingBasket work?
Once ordering opens:
- Visit BuildingBasket.ie.
- Select groceries and household essentials.
- Place your order before the relevant cut-off time.
- Select an available delivery slot.
- Receive your order during the scheduled delivery period.
Final ordering and delivery arrangements will be confirmed before launch.
What delivery days are planned?
The initial delivery schedule is expected to operate on selected days each week, provisionally Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Additional delivery days may be introduced as demand grows.
What delivery times are planned?
The proposed initial delivery periods are:
- 6:00 PM–8:00 PM
- 8:00 PM–10:00 PM
Available slots will be displayed during checkout once online ordering begins. Delivery times may be adjusted according to demand and building access arrangements.
Will delivery be free?
BuildingBasket plans to provide free scheduled delivery for orders meeting the applicable minimum basket value in supported buildings.
What will the minimum order be?
The planned initial minimum basket value is €10. This may be reviewed before or after launch as operating costs and customer requirements become clearer. The applicable minimum will always be displayed before an order is placed.
What products will be available?
The initial range is expected to include everyday groceries, drinks, cleaning products and household essentials. The exact selection, brands, sizes and prices will be shown when the online catalogue becomes available.
Will BuildingBasket have the same products as supermarkets?
BuildingBasket will provide a carefully selected range of commonly required products rather than trying to carry every product available in a large supermarket. The range will grow according to customer demand and operational capacity.
How will product prices be decided?
All product prices will be clearly displayed on the website before purchase. Our goal is to provide a convenient and reliable building-delivery service with transparent pricing. We do not claim that every product will always be the cheapest available locally.
What happens if a product is unavailable?
Our substitution, out-of-stock and refund arrangements will be published before ordering opens. Customers will not be charged for products that cannot be supplied unless they accept an appropriate substitution.
Can I place an order now?
No. The website is currently available for information only. The Catalog and checkout service will be activated when BuildingBasket is ready to begin deliveries.
How will I know when BuildingBasket launches?
Launch announcements will be published on BuildingBasket.ie. We also plan to provide building-specific information through flyers, QR codes and local community channels.
Will BuildingBasket expand beyond Sandyford?
Yes, gradual expansion is planned. However, we want to establish a dependable service in the first buildings before covering additional developments.
